LOWELL — A rendezvous with a woman he had met on Twitter went from bad to worse for the 18-year-old Tyngsboro guy if the girl’s boyfriend that is angry up at his household as opposed to the woman.
Relating to documents, once the jealous boyfriend zippped as much as Devon M. Santos’ 114 Sherburne Ave. home at 11 p.m. on April 28, the boyfriend had been presumably brandishing a www.hookupwebsites.org/lumen-app-review/ blade and violence that is threatening.
The individual Santos was indeed talking to on Facebook had been apparently the boyfriend.
Santos reacted by allegedly pointing just just what seemed to be a firearm out of the screen, cocked it and told the boyfriend to leave. Because the boyfriend along with his pals drove down, Santos’ mom called the authorities.
But once Tyngsboro police confronted Devon Santos in regards to the problems of brandishing just what turned into a BB gun, Santos presumably became demanded and enraged their BB weapon straight back, in accordance with documents.
When officers refused, saying it absolutely was proof, Santos allegedly threatened to blow the relative minds from the officers along with his mom, who was simply attempting to sooth him down.
As a result of their so-called homicidal and suicidal threats, officers chose to handcuff the teenager to simply take him towards the hospital for a psychiatric assessment. Santos allegedly reacted by threatening to kill every person and lunged at Officer John Coburn. Coburn alleged which he felt Santos grab for his solution gun and tug on their responsibility gear.
The court papers declare that Coburn and Officer Evan Donnelly feared that Santos could probably get rid of the weapon from their holster, so he was picked by the officers up from the floor and stepped him towards the settee
After sitting yourself down, Santos allegedly spit in Donnelly’s face and attempted to go butt both officers. Santos had been taken from the homely household and placed face down into the entry to wait patiently for the ambulance to take him towards the medical center, police state.
Once the ambulance arrived, Santos presumably told Donnelly he knew in which the officer lived and that he had been likely to kill the officer and their family members. Santos also allegedly made threats to Coburn.
In Lowell District Court on Tuesday, Santos was launched on personal recognizance after pleading not liable to fees of: attack and battery pack try to disarm a police; attack and battery pack for a police officer (three counts); and threats (two counts).
A release to allow the Probation Department access to his treatment, and to not possess any weapons as a condition of his release without bail, Judge Robert Brennan ordered Santos to comply with his mental-health treatment, take his prescribed medications, sign.
His next court date is a conference that is pretrial June 24.
